About DistrictFlow Technology Advisors
Built From the Inside of K-12
DistrictFlow Technology Advisors was created from a shared understanding of how school districts really operate.
Our experience comes from inside the district—not just from selling technology to districts.
For more than three decades, Curtis Smith worked in K-12 technology leadership, serving as a Director of Technology and Information Systems and leading technology operations, teams, implementations, infrastructure, applications, and technology initiatives across school districts.
Alongside him, Jamie Smith brings a long career in K-12 school administration as a retired school office manager. Her experience provides a perspective that is just as important as the technology itself: the people who use it every day.
She understands the realities of the school office—the phones that don't stop ringing, the paperwork, student and family needs, staff requests, deadlines, compliance requirements, and the countless administrative processes that keep a school running.
Two Perspectives. One Goal.
Technology leaders often see a problem from the systems and infrastructure side.
School office staff experience that same problem from the people and process side.
DistrictFlow brings both perspectives together.
We believe the best technology solutions happen when you understand the technology, the process, and the people who have to use it.
That's why our approach focuses on more than implementing another application or automating a task.
We ask:
Does this actually make someone's job easier?
Does it eliminate unnecessary work?
Does it improve the experience for staff?
Can the district realistically support it?
Will it still work six months from now?
Our K-12 Perspective
Between us, we understand both sides of the district environment:
Technology Leadership
IT operations
Infrastructure
SaaS applications
Systems implementation
Technology strategy
Automation
Security and access
Vendor management
School & District Operations
Front-office operations
Administrative workflows
Staff support
Forms and documentation
Communication
Day-to-day school operations
The realities of supporting students, families, and staff
We don't just ask what technology can do. We ask what it should do—and how it can make the lives of district employees better.
